ECOLOGY

Starting a new category, called "Ecology", for posts relating to discovering, understanding, and appreciating the natural world around us. It's science-based but there's also an underlying spirituality to it... Wikipedia captures it well:

Ecologists seek to understand:

• Life processes, interactions and adaptations

• The movement of materials and energy through living communities

• The successional development of ecosystems

• The abundance and distribution of organisms and biodiversity in the context of the environment.
